Just one world for taylormade burner 2.0 irons: Impressive. These irons elevate the ball easily, but without ballooning. The overall trajectory is high, but not excessive and performs very well in the wind. I think this is due to the club head, but could also be helped by the KBS Tour shafts. These shafts perform extremely well in these heads for me.
The TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons are available in eight different shaft options including Superfast steel and graphite and Project X.
After the success of the original Burner irons, the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons are designed to offer more feel and playability. The sound and feel have been refined thanks to an improved vibration management system. Weight distribution has been improved throughout the set to optimise flight. The face thickness is different in every iron for added distance in the long clubs and better feel in the short.
Overall, I’m extremely impressed with these irons. Performance is consistent, with looks and feel that’s impressive for game improvement irons. I think TaylorMade has a real hit here and has included qualities in this set that will be attractive to a wide range of players.
I’m currently in a shoot-out with these irons and my Taper Tours. I’m testing both sets by gaming my Taper Tours in even-numbered irons and the Burner 2.0s in odd-numbered irons to see how each iron performs side-by-side.
